Dropdown not working correctly.

The dropdown for area selection is failing to hold focus: the window behind it is stealing the focus instead. Everything up to Mathosia is unselectable. Also, the dropdown is stuck on: it remains displayed even unless overwritten by other text, or unless the arrow is clicked on. I have a screenshot of the problem, in case that would help.
