SimpleMeter is an easy-to-use DPS/HPS meter that shows damage and healing
for both allies and enemies.


Features:

* View and sort by DPS/HPS/Damage/Healing/etc for both allies and enemies
* Damage/healing breakdowns by ability for both allies and enemies
* 4 display modes (All, Self, Top 5, Totals)
* Export stats for both allies and enemies
* View past encounters
* Keep track of stats across all encounters
* Ally/Enemy names color-coded by calling


== Installation Instructions ==

* Download the addon
* Open Rift
* From character select, click the "Addons" button at the bottom
* Click the "Open Addon Directory" button
* Wait for the directory to open up
* Put the SimpleMeter folder into that directory
* Return to Rift
* Click "Refresh"
* Play the game!

Great addon.

I noticed one thing however. I'm a mage. I have 2 specs I parsed. Necrolock with a "normal" pet out, i.e. one that has a control bar and then Zoomancer with non-controllable pets, such as Split Personalities.

This parser counts the dps from the normal pets but not the non-controllable ones.

Have included a screencap of the error message as it appeared in my chat log, hope that helps.

Not sure if you tried this but it was in the rift forums concerning a way to check on combat start/end. May be more precise then what you are checking for:

Seems each parse is different from others in group using same addon. Read somewhere that most of the time the routines didnt pick up combat til the 2nd hit or something so the fix above may fix that.

I am having an issue with 2.0 not even parsing and then giving a bunch of output into my chat window. Do you know of a fix for this issue or is it just me?

a nice thing that you could add once you are done with the more important parts of the addon would be classifying the classes by color so its easier to see and turning the data into a bar graph of sorts. i think they will make it a bit more user friendly so at a glance you can see aproximatly how everyone is doing. something like recount from wow

imo one of the best things about it was the customization and numerous skins so you could fit it to almost any kind of UI.

P.S. ty for this addon, its awsm and your effort is greatly apreciated

If you look in the top left corner you'll see < x/y >. Clicking on the < or the > will move between encounters. You will see x change to match which encounter it is. If you click on the x/y you can get the total DPS for the session.

One request would be for some method of emphasizing self, when using the full list. Either by coloring, or increased font size. I'd like to see where i am on the list, at a glance.

First off, love the addon. Great design and options.

Is there a way to view the total damage done? Maybe in the future add another column or the ability to change one of the columns to Damage instead of DPS/HPS?

This addon (and RiftCount) disagree with the combat log parsers, but that could easily be due to what the meter is using for "time in combat". Plenty of the boss encounters will have you "leave" combat for fractions of a second during phase changes and the like (you'll quickly see your role switching icons light up then darken again, for example) and I'm concerned that this is affecting the results shown, by perhaps starting a new session.

As long as the total damage output is the same between the parser and the addon then we can easily compare the results, and it would go a long way toward building trust in these addons by building on the trust people already have for the parsers.

Your addon is great but I found a problem. You said that DPS is merged with me as the pet owner but somehow thats not working with Version 2.0.

In this screen you see my pet called "Caithe" does DPS separately from me.

Maybe its a problem with client language set to German?

Really like this addon, but is there a way (or could there be a way) to "pin" the addon in place on the UI, and also for it to remember where it was previously located (resets its position to the middle/top left of the UI every time I log in.)

That's going to be in the next version. Because of the way I'm doing the ally and enemy sections, this requires an extensive rewrite of the GUI, which is why it may take some time.

It's coming soon though!

Could you try to display player by calling like they did on riftcount addon. Try keeping some green and red background for allies and ennemy but set colors of players by calling so we can compare ourself more easily with the dps or hps of same class.
