Usable With Default Party/Raid Frames?
I like the look of this and am going to give it a shot when I get home! Just wondering if it would be possible now or in the future to use the click macros with the default party and raid frames? I'm a bit of a minimalist when it comes to changing my UI.

Keybinds
I was just wondering if theres a way just to bind the frames as like a mouse over macro for '1' to '=' keys. As i use a Razer naga and instead of making every ability a mouse over macro.. could i do it through this addon?

Re: Usable With Default Party/Raid Frames?
As a generality, yes this would be possible in the future. Currently Trion does not allow addons to interact with their native frames. In any case though, that is not what my addon does or is built for. This addon was developed to replace the default raid frames as I don't like them nor do a lot of people. No offense to you if you do. To each their own. I am a minimalist myself and will be working to keep this addon as compact, yet functional as possible. The default frames are very clunky and bulky to me. imo. So I am designing these to be a little more compact and useful. If there is anything I can add to this that might make it more comfortable to you let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Re: Keybinds
I am not sure I completely understand what you are asking. But as a short and simple exlanation: What this addon does is allow you to bind spells to mouse click events on my unit frames. Example: My Cleric is Warden. I have a heal over time spell, Healing Spray. When I hold Shift + Left Click on X person's unit frame, it cast Healing spray on them. Hopefully that answers your question.
Some people still prefer to use mouseover macros which is not currently possible in my addon, but is planned for the future as my raid frames are intended to be a full replacement for Rift's raid frames. Without mouseovers I feel that I am still limiting the people that choose to use my addon. Quote:

Is it possible to set this up so it comes up behind layers of the default UI? I would love to be able to have the raid frames overlaying it, but transparent so that I could still use right click functionality.
Also, does not show ready checks which can be ugly. Do you plan to allow showing certain specific debuffs? For fights like Thalgarr, it's good to know who has "Greed is good" but with this I can't tell. |

First off, Thank you for the feedback. It is much appreciated and helpful. Yes. I just discovered a couple of days ago while while I was out of town playing on my laptop that the raid frames will show up on top of default UI objects. I will be fixing this with the next update.
As for debuffs. I also noticed this in GP for bosses like Anrak and his poison. So there are two things I am working on for this. I am trying to compile a list of mob debuffs from raids and experts that don't show like they are supposed to. I am also going to add a spot to add specific debuffs to watch for. I plan to do that first cause I think it would be more useful while I work on adding a default list of debuffs to watch for. If you know of certain ones now that I could start with and would like to pass them on to me that would be extra helpful. I haven't experienced any of the upper raids yet and there seems to be a stunning lack of ability lists for mobs on the web. And now for the long question to answer: I'm sure you have your reasons but overlaying the default raid frames on top of mine kind of defeat its purpose. I would have to assume that you use mouseover macros for everything if you are doing this. Where this addon allows you to bind spells to various mouse click combinations. You are free to use it however you feel obviously and I'm happy all the same just that you are using it and that it is useful to you. Just trying to understand why you would set it up this way? Is it only for right click functionality? Obviously context menus are not allowed by the API (yet!). But I'm sure they will be in the future. So here's my setup: Personally what I do is make raid group 1 and raid party group fully transparent and only show on mouseover and stuck them in a corner. The only time I can think of that you would need to right click on people to get menus would be in a party. If you are in a raid you can use the raid setup window "Y" for everything else. Just my take. Thanks again for the feedback. Let me know how I'm doing or if you come across anything else. Your request are on the upper part of my list of additions. So they shouldn't be too far off. Quote:

So a correction to what I stated previously. I do not believe after looking at this and doing some testing that it will be possible to set this up to work where you can overlay the default UI. With some extensive changes I could probably just completely disable the click binding functionality and make it all click through but that would defeat the entire purpose of this addon. We will eventually have context menu capabilities and thus I will get that in as soon as it is available.

More updates
Sorry for the continual updates. 0.9.4 is on its way. These are big items or I wouldn't push so many this frequently. 2 big things coming with the next update. Ready Checks & Range Checks. Still having some performance issues with keeping track of a 20 man raid. The range check is in and working. Just working out the performance problem as best as I can and will have 0.9.4 out soon.
0.9.4

I haven't used this addon but I notice that you only show debuffs that can be cured. Why would any raiding cleric want this? Some incurable debuffs indicate massive incoming damage or notification to stack or move away from the raid. If this addon is a serious replacement for the default raid unit frames you'll need to figure out a better debuff mechanism.
I just cannot see good raiding healers using this and any that are, are probably not in guilds that are very far in progression. |

So I would like to preface your comments with, This is NOT a BOSS MOD for 1, and this addon is still under heavy development for 2, and lastly, which goes with 1, I am self teaching LUA and this is the first addon I've done. I'm proud of the progress it has made and am thankful to those that use it and have provided valuable feedback. If you see something you think could help or make it better, or just want to provide a general thanks, I'm all ears.
@Bard: Really though, if you want to know when the group is going to take damage you should be watching for the emotes or ground effects etc, (like real progressive raiders do as you so mentioned), or download one of the 2 Boss Mod addons. However, I AM planning to add a Whitelist option for debuffs so the user can track additional debuffs at their choosing thus providing the ability to track additional/specific spells that may or may not be curable, if they so desire. Plan to also add the option to display an icon for more awareness of the selected debuffs. But by default the intended use is to track things that are curable. The current setup sometimes picks up stupid debuffs like the ones when you leave LFG or drop a warfront. Those are what I'm referring to and are being filtering out as they have no reason to show up on ANY raid frames. And since it appears that all you wanted to do was stop by and call everyone worthless just because they have different opinions and play differently than you, thanks for the feedback, and there IS a better solution to the issue that you have mentioned here that will be implemented in the upcoming future. Troll. Thanks. A more detailed explanation for those that care: I'm not going to lie. I haven't done Hammerknell or ID and I've only done RoS once personally. If anyone knows specific debuffs that they would like added, I will add them. As far as boss raid debuffs go, the default raid ui doesn't display debuffs in a very effective manner imo either. But just to cover the plan. The current buff/debuff system of the addon is a colored box behind the health percent on each frame for debuffs that ARE curable. The idea is to KNOW WHEN I need to decurse something. I don't really want things showing up that I can't decurse and wasting my time causing me to try and decurse something that isn't curable. Since there is a stunning lack of ability references to go by, I am not able to go in and individually add monitoring for things like Poison Bolt from Anrak in GP for example, unless I know it exists and what it does. The solution: I am adding the ability to track additional debuffs by the users choice. If you want to know who and when someone has Poison Bolt, you can add it to a whitelist so it will show up. Specifically for Boss Encounters I have considered adding an option to show the icon for that debuff if you want something more noticeable such as the ability that Alsabeth puts on the targets that have to move out of the raid. Even I wouldn't mind it showing things like this even though it can't be cured. This allows me to call it out more easily as a healer since I'm staring at your health box anyways. Thanks again to those of you the use and enjoy my addon. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Quote:
