doh, problem with spending so much time looking at the code, get a bit too buried in the depth I really need to work on doing some decent documentation.
Yes, you can configure it so that you can see your hots seperately on the tank. If you go into the config for buffs, and add new trackers, one for each hot, and put the name of the hot in as a buff, then pick a slot to use, eg 18, 19 and 20, that sets up the trackers, it should end up looking like: http://s.riftui.com/preview/pvw599.jpg if you then go into the layouts, and pick your tank layout, with version 0.4.1 there's a new tab called Icon Settings. In Icon Settings you can set how many icon spots to allow, at the bottom there's a mapping of the icon spots to the buff slots. if you adjust an icon slider so that it has the same number as the buff slots you used for the trackers the hots should appear. It should end up like: http://s.riftui.com/preview/pvw600.jpg The reason for this complexity, it means that buff sets can be changed per spec, but the icons displayed don't have to be reconfigured. It also allows for a change in soul spec using a different buff set, so that role suitable buffs can be tracked for those icons spots. I know this is quite complex to configure right now, and could do with some streamlining, and better documentation. |

Hi! I really would love to use this UI but no matter what I do, I can't get it to show my HoT's. I have it set to show soothing, healing current and healing spray. I get 3 icons on the raid frame person, but they are all the same HOT instead of all 3.
Maybe I'm just doingsomething wrong...but I would sure love to see all 3 hots on mutliple tanks in the raid frame.

Good to hear, I expect it'll work for most people, and it's handy for deciding if debuffs are hurting the player
I think there's one bug with the cleansables, that I'm trying to work out how to handle. If you zone, and a debuff drops off another player, it doesn't always trigger an event, I need to raise it as a bug and think about a workaround. I saw this when joining an instant adventure, and hitting teleport, after zoning a few ppl had debuffs that didn't disappear. (a /reloadui fixes it) I've a few ideas on how to repro it, and test it out in more depth (mainly duel someone debuff them, and run into a porticum) I suspect I can fix it at the same time I add a timer to the debuff you're most likely to cleanse. From what I can tell the cleanse seems to take off the first debuff added to the player, much as the spell text suggests it's random, I think it removes the debuffs in the order they were cast on you...

Just tried running around with the cleansable debuff counter running and it seems to work perfectly. Really helpful in dungeons .

Version 0.3.5 has a few new command line options to add fake group members, and to lock/unlock the layouts.
Note that the fake units may need more testing, but in my brief testing they seemed ok. Worst case, a /reloadui should get rid of the fake units. These will get UI at the weekend. To lock and unlock the layouts you can now use: /mhf layout --lockFake units: Add a five man team (1 tank, 1 heal, 1 support): /mhf debug -fAdd a ten man team (2 tanks, 2 heals, 1 support): /mhf debug -tAdd a 20 man team (3 tanks, 6 healers, 2 support) /mhf debug -wRemove fakes: /mhf debug -nThe fake units still need some work (no fake buffs/debuffs etc), but they at least give a feel for how big a layout would be. |

Test mode
Hi,
is it possible to add a "Test mode" option ? Dongeon mode / Raid 10 / Raid 20 With the ability to choose 1 - 2 or more Tanks / 1 - 2 or more Heals (i use a special frame for tanks for exemple) DPS are the total without Tank / Heal. Ok, anyone can use one frame for CaC / 1 for Distant / 1 for Tank / 1 for Heal... |

Out of range will appear when 1.8 lands, it's already coded and works on the PTS. Until then the best we have is Line of Site detection.
The Hot/buff icon layout config is completely missing, I still need to write the UI, and then wire up the code to use the config. That will allow size and placement configuration, and also allow configurable buff slot routing. I did have lock, but it broken when I defaulted to allowing panels to move, I still need to fix it. I've not thought too hard about a disable. I would need to unhook all the events that I hook, hide all the current layouts, clear out the player cache. Enable then has to reverse the process, and rescan the players. (A cheap fix would be to put in every event handler a test of being enabled, but that just adds more overhead to every event, and the idea of disable is to be completely off) I do plan to implement layouts to be configured to only appear for configured soul specs. However, I know that doesn't solve all scenarios where you might want to disable the addon. This week has just been busy for me, hence not so many updates (but I figure that gives time for people to get a feel for things, and I have fixed a couple of bugs Thanks, Mere |

From what I have seen most of the cleanse type spells remove 1 of whatever types they can cover (usually curse, poison and disease). Think the Warden soul has a cleanse over time that removes 1 per tick. A counter sounds like it would be a great starting point for general content. For progression type fights your config screen would allow tracking of specific things that need priority in a different buff slot anyway after all.
By the way, do let me know if there is any testing I can help with. |

I've a plan to add an icon/buff slot that'll track and display the number of poisons, diseases and curses, and display an icon with the counter. From what I can see (and I could be wrong) most healers have a cleanse that clears 1 of everything, and a big cleanse CD that clears them all (or is that just purifiers? I guess I should rumage through the other classes/souls). I think it's really a case of showing the current highest curse/disease/poison count. edit: looks like I'm wrong, they remove 1 curse, disease or poison, not 1 of everything, and a few remove a specific type, eg Archon's have an ability to remove up-to 2 curses, guess i'll need to display multiple numbers and let the player pick the "right" cast. Not sure now if it's best to display just one "cleansable" counter, at it looks like most cleanses are 1 debuff, a few target a type, but not many. Guess i can just make it configurable.

Wow - that's quick work! Will download the new version and play around with a bit more later today.
On the display for any debuff, I am thinking it may be useful when doing random experts etc. where you may not know all the debuff names up front or want to keep changing a list - any icon would work I suppose. Just some sort of indicator that shows a person has a debuff and that cleansing may be a good idea. Last cast debuff may be ideal as that way a more experienced player who recognised the icons may be able to prioritise based on what they see (though given my level of play this is all very much conjecture on my part!). Once again, great work, thanks. |
