I don't use macros. As a healer I personally find it dampening as anything can happen anytime. Besides it was just a thought. Since I have the extra buttons it would be great to use them. If it only allows you to use a certain amount of buttons then that's that and that's perfectly fine with me. Until that changes, I'll just shift/cntrl/alt click anything more than the presently available amount of buttons to be used.
I do have to say though that I have been using the latest version of rifthbot for last few days and it has been awesome. Wonderful work. PS: I'm not dogging on macros I just personally don't use them ever. -dmo |

The button problem
I have been trying arround with my Naga Epic mice in the last hours to use it with the hbot. I do not really think, that the Addon itself needs to support more buttons. Why u ask easy. The answers are macros.
By normal u have 25 Macro slot to enter whatever u want. Using the mouseover target option works very well with the addon so that u can use macros to set up the buttons not supported (i put up some actionbars with keybuttons. In the software of the mice i set these keybuttons to the buttons of the mice). The Problem is, that u have theses slots for all roles, so that u can say ok when i have a 17 button mice it is enough for one role but when i switch i do not have enough left. The Answere ist the "exportui" command. U can export your complete ui including your macros to a file. So what u have to do is set a macro which does the role swith and the import of the ui for the role. With this trick u have set up 25 macros for every role, which should be enough to use all 17 buttons with every role |

[Request]
I just had an idea, so I wanted to request it.
Because I noticed in your video of demonstrating things that when you're not in a group, it just shows your raid portrait for it, I thought... why not use only that and disable the default player frame all together... but then I thought it needs more style, so I thought why not a round design option for frames? That way I can put the round player frame in the bottom center, and put 2+ action bars on each side, and some right above those, to make a custom UI out of. That would be so awesome. It would also be cool to have support for putting our own design touch on it, and having an easy to use GUI for picking a skin, this way we can have it look just how we want. (Just brainstorming out loud, you don't have to read below) Then for a full complete custom UI, I'd just have to wait till a custom XP bar replacement would be available, and also a custom mini map available, then I'd be all set. (maybe chat too) |

Looking better and better
Also I'm really, really glad you're going to leave the option to have the groups arranged in colums too Just a question, though... the role icons you have in the previews seem to create some clutter, especially if you think them on top of buffs and debuffs. Will they be the addon's default, or will there be the option to have the simple icons from the default ui too? Or something else entirely, like lil icons with letters (H, T, D and S... fairly intuitive and sould take little space) ...Ok, make it two questions Will there be different visual styles to choose from? I always think the simpler the layout is, the better you can focus on important details... having the option to not have drawn borders around each frame, but just black pixels, would be awesome ^^ Here's an old vuhdo screenshot from wow to show what I mean: http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/6710/pixelsi.jpg I apologize for all the questions/requests, but from the previews the addon is really promising! ^^ |

look at the numbers in the bottom of the debuffs icons, they only show up then the duration is under 10 seconds to make everything readable It will need some work but you'll see how much easier the new version is to configure Also now the groups are placed horizontally and growing from the bottom to use less space as possible on screen We are also adding the option to use the old style (1 group per column). I personally like the new arrangement, it saves a lot of space Quote:
x, y, Left, Right, Middle, Mouse4, Mouse5,MouseWheelUp,MouseWheelDown Unless the rift api supports those buttons I'm limited to these |

Nice work.
Main thing missing that I've noticed is a time tracker for HoTs. Example: Soothing Stream lasts for 12s. I'd like to see the 12s count on the player frame for each respective buff. So when I cast Soothing Stream, I can see how many stacks and the time left before it runs out all in one beautiful spot. Smell what I'm steppin' in? -Dmo |

Looks so much easier to understand now, I like that. But I think it needs some style to it, to help direct the eyes, if that makes any sense. As a designer, I notice everything when it comes to design and aesthetic, all though I'm not perfect lol
