I've implemented it a list, but I think tabs might have looked nicer.
If you want to see it in action, take a look at my healing frames: http://www.riftui.com/downloads/info...ingFrames.html (make sure you grab the latest 0.2.2) if you load it, and run /mhf config, then pick spells, you'll see what I've done atm. I did wonder about using levels on the lists, but the main lists on the left tend to have multiple config tabs (spells has just one right now, but it will gain a soul specs one at some point) Thanks, Mere |

yes, pretty much, vertical, text still horizontal.
I'm looking at UI that allows configuration of 5 buttons + wheelup/down, so needed 7 tabs, horizontally it's quite a bit of width (700px atm). vertically it'd fine. Although I'm actually thinking that the tabs is a little overkill, as the config is the same for each one, it's just which button it applies it to, so 7 tabs would be 7 copies of that config UI. I guess I'm really after a list in this case. |

I assume by vertical tabs you mean tabs stacked along the left side of the view, but the labels of each tab are still horizontal? |

Hi Doxx,
I was wondering if it'd be possible for you to add an API that lets us set the minimum tab width? Currently I've a number of short width tabs, but the hardcoded 100 limit means that I need quite a bit of space to fit them all in. Also what's your thoughts on making a vertical tabs? (although tbh I can probalby achieve the same with a list view, tabs might just look neater) Thanks, Mere |

FYI, although this wasn't a direct change to LibSimpleWidgets, I did have to do some thing with it to fix a bug in my addon's UI.
When I had a RiftTextfield on top of a SimpleWindow, and the user was focused on the RiftTextfield when using the close button on the SimpleWindow, it bugged out and the user was still focused on [and typing in] the RfitTextfield, and none of the keyboard keys worked unless you clicked outside of the now invisible SimpleWindow frame. This isn't really a specific problem with LibSimpleWidgets, but by modifying SimpleWindow's close functionality in my addon, I fixed it. I set my SimpleWindow frame's Close event to (replace myFrame with the SimpleWindow object, obviously): Code:
myFrame:SetKeyFocus(true) myFrame:SetKeyFocus(false) myFrame:SetVisible(false) |

Just FYI, for my convenience, I added the SetSelectionBackgroundColor method to SimpleList.
Allows me to configure the blue background color that is currently fixed when any item is selected in SimpleList. My code w/ the new method: http://pastebin.com/ngtBL2AY Also, bug report: There is a major problem with SimpleCheckbox's SetBackgroundColor method. It stack overflows and errors out. The problem is line 8 in checkbox.lua. Code:
self:SetBackgroundColor(r, g, b, a) Code:
self.check:SetBackgroundColor(r, g, b, a)

Slider's SetEnabled:
Code:
local function SetEnabled(self, enabled) self.enabled = enabled if enabled then self.current:SetFontColor(1, 1, 1, 1) else self.current:SetFontColor(0.5, 0.5, 0.5, 1) end if self.editor then self.editor:SetEnabled(enabled) -- this will throw an error end self.slider:SetEnabled(enabled) end I fixed for myself it by overriding slider's SetEnabled in my MakeSlider helper function: Code:
local function SetSliderEnabled(self, enabled) self.enabled = enabled if enabled then self.current:SetFontColor(1, 1, 1, 1) else self.current:SetFontColor(0.5, 0.5, 0.5, 1) end if self.editor then self.editor:SetVisible(enabled) end self.slider:SetEnabled(enabled) end MakeSlider = function ( -- skip -- skip slider.SetEnabled = SetSliderEnabled --skip end |

Change to eventproxy?
Hi Doxxx,
I've just updated to the latest xBagSort, this updated libsimplewidgets to 1.9.0. In doing so it appears that it might have broken rift healer, (I'm guessing rift loads the newest library version, rather than lots of copies) It seems that a change in 1.9.0 to eventproxy.lua may have broken rift healer. Grabbing the 1.8.3 version of eventproxy.lua seems to have fixed the issue. It might be that RiftHealer is broken, but I'm not sure, hence not raising a bug. The stack trace was (hmm can't find an addon to copy error text, so screen grab manual typed): Error: LibSimpleWidgets/eventproxy.lua:15: Invalid event: RadioButtonChange In RiftHealer / rhrloadSettings, event Event.Addon.Startup.End stack traceback: [C]: in function 'error' LibSimpleWidgets/eventproxy.lua:15: in function '__index' LibSimpleWidgets/radiobuttongroup.lua:29: in function 'RadioButtonSelect' LibSimpleWidgets/radiobutton.lua:32: in function 'SetSelected' RiftHealer/config.lua:90: in function 'rhrCreateOptions' RiftHealer/main.lua:262: in function <RiftHealer/main.lua:227> The line from riftHealer is: rhr.OptionsRadioA[1]:SetSelected(true) About 2 lines later it then sets up an event handler (I guess it's trying to avoid getting an unwanted event by not having a handler) Thanks, Mere
